ShopLister

I’m forgetful. I’ll admit it.

Alyssa and I have been using one of those dry erase magnetic boards you throw on your refrigerator door to write up our laundry list of things we need. It worked well for some time, until the pen dried up. Replacing it wasn’t an easy task, as it was one of those pens that has the Velco attached so that it can stick to the board. It was on the pen cap too, making it quite difficult to transfer to the replacement pen.

I then remembered I write websites for a living. Since I’m into that geeky shit stuff, I figured I’d write a web app to create shopping lists and print them out. I won’t bore you with the details but ShopLister was eventually made and as of today has a whopping 13 members (hold your applause, please).

Hey, I didn’t say I was a marketing genius.

At any rate, it sits there and gets used mainly by my wife and I, housing our lists for Food, The House, and Other categories. All our stores we frequent are in there as to split them up during shopping trips.

Being able to print the list was great, but I added the option to have it sent to your cell phone as a TXT MSG in case you could’t print or just didn’t have paper.
